HID produces 3 times more light than 55 watt halogen bulbs using a ballast firing over 2300 volts to a 35 watt Xenon bulb. HID Xenon bulbs burn at above 4100k. These systems are extremely efficient and with the intense daylight-like beam produced, they improve the vision of the driver substantially over traditional halogen lighting systems.
